Hello Families
In this time of social distancing with the Coronavirus, we want to resource your family with two resources each week.
1.  Church at Home – This resource comes from the developer of Veggie Tales, Phil Vischer, and is a great “Children’s Church” experience for your family to watch and worship together.
2.  Empowering Courageous Kids – This resource provides the opportunity for families to have an interactive learning experience with the whole family involved in various hands-on ways.
We hope these resources encourage you as we continue on this journey of COVID-19

Children’s Ministry

KidsServe includes the following:

  • KidsServe Sunday Morning – Children begin in worship with us so that we can experience the “whole family of God.”  Then the children are blessed and dismissed to KidsServe in age level groupings.  During the summer, elementary-aged students join us in worship.  Summer KidsServe continues for children ages 0 through Pre-K.
  • HalfTime – beginning the last Wednesday in September, kids ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to “HalfTime!”  At 6pm, a family meal is served (free-will donation), with “HalfTime” from 6:25-7:45.  “HalfTime” opens in a large group setting followed by small group learning and fun games.
  • Vacation Bible School – We offer a Vacation Bible School each summer to both build faith into the children in our church and reach out into our neighborhood to share Jesus.

Family Ministry

We believe we are called to partner with families in the spiritual formation of their children. We do this by providing KidsServe on Sunday mornings and offering resources that equip parents to share faith with their children throughout the week. We choose curriculum that allows this partnership to flourish. We join families at strategic points in the faith development of children: Birth of a Child, Parent-Child Dedication, Providing a First Bible and Believer’s Baptism. At each point we connect with parents to pray, equip and empower, them as they invest in their child’s faith journey. We believe that the church is called to “be family” to one another. Jesus redefined the family as being those who do God’s will and we know that in our culture today we are hungry for healthy family relationships. Our hope and prayer is that The Point is to Serve can be the family of God to one another. We desire to strengthen families through inviting them into service together. Faith takes root when it is put into practice through service. This can occur through their daily life together and can also be enhanced through joint efforts in service. Several times a year we offer “Family Friendly Service Projects” that are specially designed for parents and children.
